Os Deepest Blue são um duo britânico de música electrónica constituído por Matt Schwartz e Joel Edwards.
São mais conhecidos pelos seus hits que atingiram o top britânico de singles "Deepest Blue" (2003) e "Give it Away" (2004).
CARREIRA
O dueto Deepest Blue é constuído por Joel Edwards e Matt Schwartz. Schwartz já tinha trabalhado com Arthur Baker, Mica Paris, JTQ e os Massive Attack antes dos Deepest Blue.
Colaborou com os Massive Atack no seu álbum "Mezzanine", ajudando e sndo co-autor de "Dissolved Girl" que fez parte da banda sonora da famosa trilogoa "Matrix", na década de 90.
Depois de ter assinado pela Warner Chappell, o seu amigo produtor, cantor e compositor Joel Edwards trabalhou com Ed Case, Planet Funk, Chicane, M Factor, Skin e Melanie Chisholm.
O primeiro single dos Deepest Blue, "Deepest Blue", foi produzzido em 2003. Chegou ao 7º posto na tabela de singles inglesa, a sua entrada mais alta nos tops.
O seu segundo single, "Give it Away", alcançou o 9º lugar nas tabelas inglesas no início de 2004.
O terceiro single, "It's a Sin" chegou ao Top 30 em Maio de 2004.
O quarto single, "Shooting Star", foi lançado em Agosto de 2004 e alcançou a 57ª posição no top inglês e foi usado como música de fundo para a Sky Sports News entre 2004 e 2007.
O último álbum dos Deepest Blue, "Last September", alcançou o 22º lugar da tabela de Álbuns inglesa.
O grupo vendeu 70 000 álbuns e ganhou um Disco de Prata.
Depois de um intervalo para trabalharm em projectos alternativos, os Deepest Blue "reformaram-se".
O seu último trabalho, "Miracle", foi produzido pela Destined Records.
Em 2010, o grupo separa-se de vez.
