DNCE é uma banda de pop rock norte-americana - formada por Joe Jonas, Jack Lawless, Jin Joo e Cole Whittle - em 2015.
A banda lançou o seu primeiro single, intitulado "Cake By The Ocean", em Setembro de 2015 e o primeiro EP, intitulado "SWAAY", em Outubro do mesmo ano. A 18 de Novembro de 2016, o grupo lançou o seu álbum de estreia auto-intitulado, tendo como primeiro single a faixa "Body Moves".
A banda nasceu de uma ideia do vocalista, Joe Jonas, em lançar um projecto excêntrico inspirado em melodias do género R&B. Sobre a criação da banda, Joe disse: "Eu tive essa visão para cinco ou seis anos, mas levei algum tempo para entender o que eu queria fazer depois. Uma vez que nós estamos fazendo nova música, isso assenta-nos tão perfeitamente."
Para concretizar esaa ideia, Joe começou a procurar integrantes para essa futura banda designada DNCE. Convidou Jin Joo, Cole Whittle e Jack Lawless. Logo de início, a banda teve uma intensa química e camaradagem que desejavam transmitir aos seus fãs. Sobre o nome da banda, JinJoo disse "Está incompleto, está imperfeito, mas está ótimo." e completou "Você não precisa ser um óptimo dançarino para dançar - você pode dançar como quiser e ainda se divertir muito. Essa é a real beleza dessa coisa toda."
A 11 de Setembro de 2015, os integrantes da banda anunciaram a sua criação, lançando o primeiro single no dia 18 de Setembro de 2015.
A 31 de Janeiro de 2016, participaram do especial televisivo ao vivo "Grease: Live!" como a banda Jhonny Casino & The Gamblers. O especial foi um tributo ao clássico musical "Grease - Brilhatina", exibido pela FOX.
